American Indian Student Services (AISS) at The University of New Mexico (UNM) provides cultural and academic programming for UNM students in an effort to ensure academic achievement and assist in the development of personal, cultural, & social success. The AISB Programs are UNM’s premier American Indian/Indigenous retention initiatives to support incoming first-semester American Indian/Indigenous freshman students through a First-Year Scholars experience to build & expand their networks with their peers & the AISS Staff, learn how to navigate the University system, and strengthen their skills to become scholars & leaders.
