The University of New Mexico Division of Student Affairs and American Indian Student Services are committed to providing student support and opportunities to pursue academic success for all UNM American Indian students. The American Indian Summer Bridge (AISB) Program is designed to immerse incoming freshmen students into the rigors of academic life and prepare them academically and socially for the first-year experience at UNM.
This four-week intensive residential program includes an academic component consisting of earning 8 credit hours, which include College Algebra, Math Lab (study session), Native American Studies, English Writing Lab (writing session). These courses are taught by experienced faculty. In addition, seminars in study skills, time management, leadership development, and other topics related to student success complement the academic program.
