The University of New Mexico Division of Student Affairs and American Indian Student Services are committed to provding student support and opportunities to pursue academic success for all UNM American Indian students. The American Indian Summer Bridge (AISB) Program is designed to immerse incoming freshmen students into the rigors of academic life and prepare them academically and socially for the first-year experience at UNM.
This four-week intensive residential program includes an academic component consisting of Math 120 with Math 106 Lab and Native American Studies complimented with English 298 Writing Lab taught by experienced instuctors. In addition, seminars in study skills, time management, leadership development, and other topics related to student success complement the academic program.
